I have had a long love affair with food and farming. While I haven’t lived on a farm for a few years, I do still have a passion for supporting our local farmers and ranchers. In this vein, Salt River Meat Company was born. Salt River Meat Company is a small scale, custom exempt meat processing facility in Afton, Wyoming. 

Butchery has been an undervalued trade for some time, but I think a growing number of people are appreciating the necessity and craftsmanship that is involved. 

I grew up helping my family butcher for personal use, the feeling of carrying on a family tradition and turning it into a career is filled with nostalgia and pride.
